Train run

Also: run date, service, run

One train on one day: a schedule plus the date it ran.

A schedule says what a train does on the days it runs. A run is one of those days actually happening, with its own delays, platform changes and cancellations.

The date of a run is the day it starts, even when it runs past midnight, so a sleeper leaving at 23:45 on Friday is still Friday’s train when it arrives on Saturday morning.

In Trainiac

Every journey you log is one run.
