Times are the station’s own
Also: time zone, timezone, pacific time
A train’s times are shown as the clock at its station read, wherever your phone is.
Example
The same moment
- At San Francisco
- 16:55
- At London Paddington
- 00:55, the next day
In summer, when California is eight hours behind Britain.
A journey in the Bay Area is shown in Pacific time, and a journey in Britain in UK time. It doesn’t matter where you are when you look: the 16:55 from San Francisco is always the 16:55.
That’s how timetables, tickets and station clocks work, so it’s how your journeys read too. The day a journey belongs to is the day it was at the station where it started.
In Trainiac
Every time on a journey, and the day it’s filed under.
