Imported tickets

Also: trainline, import, bookings

Your Trainline bookings become journeys, each matched to the real train you were booked on.

When you import from Trainline, Trainiac reads your past bookings: where from, where to, the day and the departure time, plus any seat reservation.

Each direction of a booking becomes one trip, and Trainiac matches it the same way as adding a journey by hand: it searches that day’s trains and picks the one your ticket was for. Reserved coach and seat come along too.

If a trip can’t be matched to a real train, nothing is saved for it and it’s listed as not found, so every imported journey is a real train. Importing again is safe: a train you’ve already logged from that station on that day isn’t added twice.
